Qualified candidates will have 10+ years’ experience in commercial litigation, exceptional interpersonal and client service skills, and a JD from a reputable law school. A background in dealership or franchise law is highly preferred.

Paralegal

Our client, a full-service law firm headquartered in NYC known for their business law expertise, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to join their Corporate and Real Estate practices. This role provides comprehensive support to these attorneys with acute attention to details and high organizational skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Preparing initial drafts of documents for forming business entities, including limited liability companies, corporations, and general and limited partnerships
Analyzing title documents, surveys, and other property-related materials
Conducting lien and litigation searches
Drafting ancillary closing and transactional documents, such as certificates, bills of sale, and assignments
Organizing and tracking deal documents for corporate and real estate transactions
Assisting in all phases of transactions from inception to closing
Preparing closing binders of documents for mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions
Communicating between all parties to transactions, including lenders, attorneys, title companies, clients, etc.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years’ Paralegal experience in a similar role, and a strong understanding of the corporate and real estate processes and legal terminology. Equally important are strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent written and verbal communication skills (including proofreading and cite-checking), exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The salary range for this opportunity is $65k-$80k (based on experience), and includes medical/dental/vision package, commuter benefits, 401k with contribution, and generous PTO.
